My name is Mike Tassin, and like you I hold different roles in life. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a EMDRIA Certified Therapist.   I am a husband to a wonderful wife, father of two fast growing children, therapist, teacher, coach, professional consultant, among many other roles in the community. 

 One role I am extremely proud of is my service to our great country. I am United States Army combat veteran having served as Sergeant with eight years’ experience and tours of duty around the globe.  I am passionate to serve all people who need help, and my military experience gives me greater insight into active military, veterans, law enforcement, first responders, their families, and culture. 

I have been honored to hold multiple leadership roles in the military community.  Some of those roles included professional development director, Mental health treatment, program development, and project management of several successful programs.

Programs I have managed have been recognized across the nation for serving veterans and their families with both vocational, and Mental Health counseling, job training, and job placement.  Assisting those who served, and their families is a passion of mine. With that said; I have great deal of experience in settings where the average client has not had any connection to the military as well.

 EMDRIA Certified Therapist.   I completed my Military service in 2008; Since 2009, I have worked in the counseling and consultation, education, training feild.  

I have firsthand knowledge and experience serving the military and veteran community and families in addition,  I have extensive experience working with non-military clients too. 

My therapeutic background is well rounded having assisted people with severe trauma and persistent mental illness who were dependent on medication, to children who were in the foster care system and needing help adjusting to their new environment.

 I have extensive experience working with couples before and after marriage.  I am an experienced, versatile, and outcome based professional with a variety of experience and specialty in a number of areas. 

I have worked with children who had behavior troubles at home and school, and those diagnosed with ADHD and other labels. I have assisted clients with career and executive coaching, career testing, job search and placement strategies.  During this time, I have worked with couples seeking counseling to improve their relationship and family life. I love collaboration and approach each therapy relationship as collaboration for your benefit.
